Successful cooperation of Thyssengas and innogy Gas Storage NWE

New entry- and exit-zone for gas storage

Thyssengas GmbH (hereinafter Thyssengas) and innogy Gas Storage NWE GmbH (hereinafter iGSNWE) have agreed on entry- and exit zones for usage of the gas storage facilities Epe H-Gas and Xanten in the transmission grid as of 1st April 2017. At the same time, iGSNWE will market the two storage facilities combined as „innEXpool“ rather than separately. Within the Thyssengas´ grid the following entry- and exit-zones can be booked by shippers and be nominated by balancing group managers:

Entry into the Thyssengas-grid: Zone Epe/Xanten I (UGS-E)

Exit from the Thyssengas-grid: Zone Epe/Xanten II (UGS-A).

The combination of innEXpool and the grid entry- and exit-zones leads to a further increased system availability for the market. In addition to that, the interaction of transmission grid and storage will be further optimised. Therefore, zones and innEXpool provide a positive contribution to security of supply.
